Consular Ball: Georgia Council of International Visitors Holds 35th International Consular Ball

The Georgia Council of International Visitors (GCIV) held its 35th international annual consular ball on April 2, 2016. GCIV is a 501 (c) nonprofit international exchange organization. Each year the organization welcomes more than 500 emerging leaders from over 100 countries. These distinguished guests of the US government represent politics, government, media, nongovernmental organizations, public health, education, arts, business and trade, international security. It’s alumni network include 395 current or former heads of state,  88 Pulitzer Prize winner, 77 Nobel laureates and countless leaders across the private and nonprofit sectors.

The 35th GCIV international consular ball was held at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, Georgia. Master of Ceremonies for the night were Keshia Night Pullian, the Iconic Rudy Huxtable in “The Cosby Show”, and Honor Guard, Airlift Wing Dubbins Air Reserve Base. Remarks for the evening were given by the Mayor of Atlanta, Honorable Kasim Reed and Consul General of Haiti and Dean of the Consular Corps, Honorable Gandy Thomas. Music was provided by Live Exchange Party Band with special performance by Live Roaring 20’s Performance.

A friend of Tolusworld, Queen Blessing Itua (also the Chief of Staff, International Adviser for Georgia Senator Donzella James) attended the event and shared her pictures of the event with Tolusworld.
