Governor Mimiko converts a Footpath to a Motorable Road

The economic activity of Palm Oil Plantation company (Okitipupa Palm Oil Plc) which has been challenged over the years due to lack of accessible roads, might be witnessing a total turnaround due to the recent conversion of what previously looked like a footpath into a motorable road.

Gov. Segun Mimiko recently commissioned Ajagba-Iyasan Road in Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State. It was a footpath that was previously accessed only by bicycles, motorbikes and during the dry seasons by timber trucks. This will surely uplift the socio-economic life of the Ajagba-Iyasan Community in the southern part of Ondo State.

It is widely believed that the commissioning of this road will boost productivity at the Okitipupa Palm Oil Plc. This is in line with the national gospel being preached on making Nigeria self-sufficient in food production as well as making agriculture the mainstay of our economy. It is definitely a smart move by the Mimiko led government.

Governor Mimiko in his speech during the commissioning of the road stated that his government will be a winner in the vigorous battle to reduce infrastructural gap and uplift the people of Ondo State out of poverty.
